Empowering future teachers’ intercultural awareness with eTwinning

This paper aims at examining the impact of eTwinning experience on empowering future teachers’ intercultural awareness within two different international eTwinning projects. The first project “What kind of World do we want?” has been given start in October 2021 and apart from University of Palermo it involves two different universities from Turkey. The second project “Qualified teacher of the future” has had its start in November with German, French and Turkish partner universities. Conceptions of Assessment as an Integral Part of Language Learning: A Case Study of Finnish and Chinese University Students

Assessment is viewed as an internal and pivotal part of learning, where cultural factors, previous experiences, and future aspirations affect learners’ perceptions. In recent years, an increasing number of western universities have established their campuses or “dual” programmes in China. In the first Sino–Finnish programme, 293 Finnish and Chinese students participated in the same English for Specific Purposes (ESP) course. Intercultural Awareness of Iranian English Language Learners : An Exploration

The present paper reports on a qualitative study investigating how Iranian learners of English as a foreign language understand culture and the extent to which this understanding meets the needs of efficient intercultural communication. In order to gather data, in-depth semistructured interviews were conducted with eight participants. The interviews were designed and thematically analyzed using Baker’s (2011) model of intercultural awareness. Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie pilotażowej fazy projektu skierowanego do przyszłych nauczycieli języka angielskiego, jako obcego, w której dokonują oni ewaluacji swojej wiedzy, podejścia i świadomości międzykulturowej oraz znajomości różnic i podobieństw pomiędzy współpracującymi ze sobą, a odległymi społecznie, kulturowo i językowo instytucjami kształcącymi przyszłych nauczycieli w Izraelu i Polsce.
